Aruj is a true management consultant by heart and has helped numerous global and national brands across US, Asia and Asia-Pacific, create, adapt and pivot strategies delivering on the ever-changing needs of their customers and industry dynamics; maximize growth, minimize churn, and drive lifetime value. His engagements focused on brand transformations, re-positionings, strategic problem solving, growth-hacking, marketing leadership, corporate development and innovation.
Prior to joining The Blake Project as our Managing Partner for AMEA, he was the Director of Brand, Marketing Strategy and Insights for Pilot Flying J, a Berkshire-Hathaway company, one of the largest fuel, food and CPG retail operations in North America. He played a major role in establishing a foundational brand architecture and marketing portfolio framework for the organization and rationalized marcomm activities to drive higher ROI and customer effectiveness. Reporting directly to the CXO; his diverse consulting skillset and a knack for seeing the bigger picture helped the organization embark on their next chapter of growth driven by richer data, lean processes, high performing talent and a consistent humanized brand across all channels.
His previous clients and corporate engagements include global players like Fujitsu, SingTel, Toyota, Commonwealth Bank of Australia, ANZ Bank, Veolia Transport, and multiple national brands like Australia Post, Metro Trains Melbourne, QUU and many more. He is known as an expert for finding new brand growth, driving brand affinity, enabling cultural change, and business model innovations.
An alumnus of Duke University – Fuqua School of Business and Melbourne Business School, he has recently accomplished an Executive Program in Strategy and Innovation from MIT – Sloan School of Management. He holds an MBA with specialization in Strategy and Marketing, a Bachelors in Technology and is an Associate Member of CPA Australia.
He is as passionate about brand growth challenges and solving complex business problems as he is for his music and love for travel. A globe trotter who never leaves any opportunity to take his beloved street camera out and take the first flight out to explore this beautiful world. He has travelled extensively for work and fun and has been involved with various social causes through his band “RAAGAZ” (a South Asian band) that he has run for more than 9 years, performing in multiple Asian countries. His stage name is “KD” – Killer Drummer.
A nerd by heart, his garage is full of electronics, computers and other mechanical junk. His current love, apart from his newborn son Aayan, is his Royal Enfield Desert Storm motorbike, which he is planning to ride to World’s Top 10 most beautiful roads, 3 of which actually starts in India.
After spending a decade and half overseas, he and his family have recently moved back to his country of birth India, where this Oz by heart is looking to amplify The Blake Project’s portfolio with new differentiated offerings and expand the global footprint while helping local and global brands explore un-tapped value with a Brand Centric approach vs. a Marketing Approach.
